Allentown Visitor Guide

Visiting & Lodging

Allentown is best experienced on foot: park once, stroll the historic Main Street core, explore independent shops, see the Old Mill and millpond, and stop for coffee, a meal or dessert. Its scale makes it an easy half-day or day-trip destination.

Getting Here

Allentown is primarily a driving destination. The borough is near I-195 and the New Jersey Turnpike's Exit 7A area, with county roads linking it to Upper Freehold, Robbinsville and Hamilton.

Postal-address caution: Many attractions advertised as “Allentown” are outside the borough. The Horse Park of New Jersey, farms, wineries and other 08501 destinations should be checked by municipality before assuming they are part of an Allentown Borough visit.
